In warm, humid months, moisture in the air can condensate on the cold concrete floor. If you have items on the floor that can absorb water (cardboard boxes, furniture, etc.), mold and mildew may grow. To prevent this, store items that shouldn't get wet on pallets or wood strips, place items in plastic containers, or wrap them in airtight plastic. Also, avoid moving in during rain, as items can pick up moisture before being placed in the unit.
First, make sure you're using the code that was sent to you after checkout. If you're having trouble getting the door to close and latch, try lifting the door slightly or pushing it down by stepping on the handle below the latch to compress the door seal — it may take a bit more force than expected. If you're still having issues, give us a call at (715) 426-4771.
